Homeowner Protection Office (HPO)

Thinking of purchasing a new constructed home?  Did you know that every new home built for sale by a licensed residential builder in British Columbia is protected by mandatory third-party home warranty insurance?  Also known as, 2-5-10 home warranty insurance which covers: 2 years on labour and materials, 5 years on the building envelope including water penetration and 10 years on the structure.

The New Homes Registry provides free access to find out if a home has warranty insurance, if the home is built by a licensed residential builder or if no home warranty is in place.
